About Myself
My name is Kalia Xiong and I am currently a Junior at Madison East High School. I have a cumulitive GPA of 3.7-3.8. I am on The National Honor Society, the highest achieved Honors Distinction given, and a member of the East Junior Congress. We do various things such as fundraising money, whether it be for our school, clubs, or to better serve the community around us, community service, organize events for school, prom, and many other things. I am also a member of Candle Lighters, Others First, French Club, and ITA. My favorite sports are swimming, tennis, biking, and I am a roller skating expert!. I'm a really chill person, I love to laugh at pretty much everything, a great strategy solver, and I love peace! I absolutely love working with other people because it's a great opportunity to converse and be around new people! I am still looking for my life career goal but I would also like to join the Peace Corps. when I am older!
Qualifications
Throughout my years in ITA, I've progressivly learned how to photoshop high quality graphics for various uses and even design our own websites! For others, it is a challenge but with the help of the ITA instructors to guide us for about three years, I am basically an expert. I made a website for the Departement of Linguistics with professor Marlys Macken for the Hmong Research project. I also got the chance to do some hands on experience with hardware. I am able to make my own videos on Sony Vegas and music on Sony ACID.
Technology Skills and Focus
My spectrum in the Science and Technology field is wide, due to every help and exposure ITA has given me. I am up for just about any type of thing. I am more intrested in doing hardware projects because hands on activities are awesome!
